Cellcard, Ezecom partner with Nexusguard to offer DDoS protection

Cambodian telco Cellcard and ISP Ezecom – both owned by Royal Group – said they have formed an alliance with cybersecurity company Nexusguard to provide DDoS protection services to critical sectors across Cambodia.
In a statement issued Tuesday, Cellcard said the collaboration with Nexusguard will give Cambodian banks, telecom services providers, enterprises, and public institutions with access to a fully managed, multi-layered DDoS protection platform.
Cellcard said the DDoS solution provides defence across all potential entry points – from the network layer to DNS, websites, and applications – backed by round-the-clock monitoring, automatic threat detection, rapid response capabilities, and stringent service level agreements (SLAs).
The DDoS solution will leverage Cellcard and Ezecom’s local infrastructure, enabling security solutions tailored to the unique demands of Cambodia’s emerging digital ecosystem, said Chea Tola, chief enterprise segment officer at Cellcard and Ezecom.
“We are empowering our customers with an unprecedented level of protection and the invaluable peace of mind that accompanies it,” he said in a statement.
Nexusguard CEO Andy Ng said the collaboration with Cellcard and Ezecom is a pivotal step in both strengthening Cambodia’s cybersecurity infrastructure” and expanding Nexusguard’s presence in Southeast Asia.
“Cyber threats are rapidly evolving throughout the Southeast Asian region,” Ng said, noting that Cambodian organizations are prime targets for DDoS attacks designed to disrupt vital online services.
